Sherthik, Yet more updatesUpdates:Sherthik, Yet more updates by Daemonologist
1) Three meters long is the average size most adult males will live to, with variations depending on sex, genetics, diet, etc.
2) Similar limbs to a crocodile / alligator, along with body shape, though with the head of a newt.
3) Prehensile tongue, length [?] (sizes would be appreciated, if not I can work off the length of other lizards compared to their bodies).
4) Communication via sonar while within the water.
5) Likely freshwater in habitat.
Will need to be worked in, modifying the old one to add into here. Behavior likely to remain the same.
Sherthik: Revised - Needs workHabitat: The progenitor Sherthik lives in a salt-water environment. They remain within a hundred meters of the surface at most times, but can easily swim to further depths. Much of the water the Saltwater Sherthik inhabit is temperate, though some have been known to live in tropical waters. Freezing waters are avoided, as the food supplies are often insufficient to sustain them for survival. Prepared Saltwater Sherthik can and will travel through the arctic waters however, short trips being possible if careful.Sherthik: Revised - Needs work by Daemonologist
At times, they can hunt creatures along the shoreline or even slightly inland before returning to the waters. Their slowness on land and great bulk prevents effective hunting when the advantage of a surprise attack from the coast is lost. Their sensitivity to the light during the day also means they will often hunt between dusk and dawn.
There are some subspecies of the Sherthik that are cap
Unnamed, Suggestions welcomedSystem: The Gas Giant will revolve around a F7-class star, with four moons [One of which is where the species will evolve from] orbiting around such. The one this realm's inhabitants are to live on is to be a fair bit out from the Gas Giant. The closest will be a moon similar to the real-world satellite Io. Along with this, there would be two moons roughly similar [though not quite the same size] as Phobos.Unnamed, Suggestions welcomed by Daemonologist
Terra-like Moon: There are to be a few key differences between this moon and Earth. One of the key differences will be that it will possess the equivalent of two earth gravities [approximately]. There is also a much smaller surface area covered with land: Only 18% of the planet is to be surface, the rest water. Much of the land is also to be clustered into a few very large continents instead of many smaller ones / island chains. The atmosphere is also much thicker, causing b
